This comes from a series of “Lost Boys” as I was working through a hard time coming out to friends and family. It seems so long ago now, something about temptation in this one, I imagine.

I was just talking to a friend about how misery can often spur on a creative burst. I postulated that it’s probably that you may be going into problem-solving mode and trying to crank through emotions in the only way it knows how. I do notice times when I am truly dwelling in comfort I tend to daydream and doodle more than hunker down and DRAW.
